In accordance with the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

Banks will remain closed on April 1, 2025 (Tuesday), for the annual closing of accounts. However, this holiday does not apply to government offices.
Additionally, all Sundays and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month are bank holidays, as per the explanation in Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
This rule applies to all commercial and cooperative banks across India.
If any of the Muslim festival holidays listed above do not occur on the notified date, the Government may change the holiday date.
